Little tricks to make life easier

What to do when Photoshop gets sluggish, and your thumbnails won't load anymore?

I Googled "Photoshop sluggish," "thumbnails won't load," and "photoshop not responding" which the latter got me results that fixed my system in two seconds flat:

Delete your Photoshop preference folder! You can find it here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator(or username)\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop. Just open that folder and put a - or a ~ at the beginning of the folder you find in there. Once you see that it works, you can go back and delete the marked folder.
Note: These folders may be hidden by your system, so make sure you set your folder preferences to "show hidden files" by opening your Windows Explorer, going to Tool > Options in the main menu. Go to the "View" tab and select "show hidden files and folders."

When you are not sure whether to delete a folder or not:

Change the file (folder) name by placing a - or ~ at the beginning of the file name. When everything still works after your first system restart, you can safely delete that marked file.
